Home " Experiences " Visit Granada
Granada is one of those cities you don't just walk through - you get sucked in. The narrow streets of the Albaicín wind up past whitewashed houses, while at every corner a different smell reaches your nose: freshly baked bread, jasmine, mint. And then, suddenly, you are face to face with the Alhambra - that majestic Moorish palace where every tile work seems to tell a story. But Granada is more than heritage: it is a city where students play music on terraces, where flamenco sounds deep from the caves of Sacromonte, and where history and liveliness go hand in hand.
Whether you come for the art, the architecture or the tapas you get free with your drink - Granada effortlessly seduces you. Start your day early at the Alhambra (reservations highly recommended), then hike toward Mirador de San Nicolás for views that will leave you speechless, and have lunch in the lively downtown around Plaza Nueva. Afterwards, take time for tea in an Arab tea house, dive into a cathedral, or just head up toward Sacromonte. The city is easily accessible, with parking garages in and around the center, though the city is most beautiful on foot. Feel free to take a whole day - and then you'll probably want to go back tomorrow.
