This 6.9 km circular walk lets you experience the essence of the Alpujarras: white mountain villages, a babbling river and views of the Sierra Nevada peaks. You walk from Pampaneira along ancient paths past waterfalls, bridges and ruins of mills to Bubión and back again. Along the way you cross the Río Poqueira, created from meltwater from Spain's highest peaks. Differences in altitude are noticeable, but the trail is well trodden. Ideal for those who want to combine a day of culture and nature in an intimate part of Andalusia.
