This loop hike of nearly 10 kilometers takes you from La Herradura along the steep coastline to the Torre de Cerro Gordo, a historic watchtower overlooking the cliffs of Maro. Along the way you'll hike along quiet asphalt roads, mountain paths and gravel sections. The Mirador Cerro Gordo is an ideal place to pause for a moment: you look out over the Mediterranean Sea, with a chance of seeing vultures or dolphins. The path rises and falls considerably, so some fitness is required, but it is nowhere technically difficult. Especially the sunset here is unforgettable.
