Torre de la Caleta - Sea views through ruins and cliffs

This tough 13.1-kilometer loop hike starts at Cerro Gordo and takes you through the Maro-Cerro Gordo nature reserve toward Playa de la Caleta and the ruins of old artillery emplacements. You descend along stony paths, cross riverbeds and walk past Playa Cantarriján and Playa del Cañuelo. The climb to Torre de la Caleta is rewarded with impressive sea views. This is not a route for beginners: sturdy shoes, good condition and surefootedness are a must. An adventurous trip with rugged nature, silence and deserted coves.
