Just outside the center of Cómpeta, tucked between the mountain road and a handful of flower pots, is a small semicircular plaza where you will stop for a moment: the Mirador Panorámico. Here a view unfolds of the village's white houses, as if they were layered against the slope. The benches are inlaid with colorful mosaics, in a style reminiscent of Parc Güell in Barcelona. Not grand, but special. Especially at sunset, everything turns warm orange - a perfect time for a photo or a short break. And for those still hungry, Venta de Palma is just steps away for a plate of homemade Andalusian food.
We wander streets ourselves, climb stairs and read informational signs that no one else reads. For these tips, we dive into guidebooks, Facebook groups and local stories - but often the best things you just discover on the spot. Have you been somewhere that made an impression? Or is there something missing from our description? Let us know. We would love to collect your discoveries for the next person who sets out.
